I hope they would say that the air was often filled with uplifting music and the cadence of poetry. That the walls were lined with soulful art, not only by renowned artists, but by the children who lived there. That the rooms were furnished with the best of books. * That they traveled the world. That they met noble souls from near and far. I hope they say that George Washington and Esther and Jesus Christ were honored guests. That it was often very quiet, until the grass-stained, sun-kissed children came back inside. That an ordinary, imperfect mother knelt to pray over her children. That love abided. And that the Holy Spirit dwelt there.
I hope they would say that within them, faith was fortified, and the seed of lifelong learning was planted. That magnanimity of spirit was blueprinted. And that one day, those children would go forth from those walls to serve God, family, and country.
If this is your vision for your house, too, I’m so glad you’re here!
The Mama
Hello & Welcome!
…to my little corner of the internet. I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m a single mama homeschooling my two little girls. L. M. Montgomery best sums up my passion for homeschooling — “She talked [homeschool], and thought [homeschool], and dreamed [homeschool].” (Though, in Anne’s case, it was a picnic.) **
I’ll walk you along our journey as I discover what works for us (and what doesn’t). I hope being here truly helps, inspires, and uplifts you!
